Senator Crewing Manila continues its mission of nationwide maritime empowerment with the official opening of its Cebu Branch, strategically located at Lexmark Plaza 3 in Cebu Business Park. This milestone marks a significant step forward in deepening its presence in the Visayas region — a major hub for maritime talent and training.
With the Cebu branch now operational, Senator aims to enhance accessibility for Filipino seafarers who are looking for career opportunities and support closer to home.
The inauguration began at 10:00 AM, with guests welcomed by Capt. Gilbert Garcia, Director and General Manager of Senator Crewing Manila, who offered opening remarks. He highlighted the significance of this expansion in bridging gaps between talent and opportunity, saying:
“Opening our Cebu branch allows us to be closer to the heart of the Visayas maritime industry. It reflects our dedication to being present where our seafarers are — and where support is most needed.”
This was followed by a ribbon-cutting ceremony led by Mr. Tychonas Agisilaou, joined by Capt. Garcia and Capt. Jestoni Ryan Antoc, Branch Manager. The office blessing was officiated by Rev. Fr. Patricio Ornopia, offering a hopeful start to the branch’s new journey.

To conclude the formalities, Capt. Antoc led a wine toast, marking a new chapter for Senator’s growing network. Guests then enjoyed a buffet lunch in a warm and welcoming setting that encouraged connection and conversation.
The event brought together leaders and professionals from various maritime institutions, demonstrating the strong partnerships Senator has built within the industry. Among the notable guests were:
- Ms. Jhoaden G. Lucero, Regional Director, DMW Region VII
- Dr. Teodosio F. Alcantara, Medical Director, AMOSUP Cebu
- Capt. Gerry D. Enjambre, Campus Director and Dean, UCMETC
- Capt. Arthur Martinez, President, CREST
- CE Nikias Antonio Calledo, Operations Manager, CREST
- Capt. Emmanuel Baring and Atty. Llyod Bantiling of AMLO Training Center
- Bro. Silvestre Crescensio of Don Bosco
- Representatives from Supercare Cebu, Nordic Cebu, and Cebu Gems
- Senator crew member 4/E Wendyl Tejedor
Their presence underscored the spirit of collaboration and shared vision that fuels the maritime industry.

The Cebu branch is more than just a new office — it is a commitment to delivering Senator’s full range of services, career support, and maritime partnerships to seafarers across the central Philippines.
The move not only strengthens the company’s national network but also supports Senator’s long-term goal of becoming even more responsive to the needs of Filipino seafarers — providing them with professional guidance, growth opportunities, and accessible paths to deployment.
Senator Crewing Manila’s expansion into Cebu underscores its vision of a more connected, more empowered future for Filipino maritime professionals — from the ports of Luzon to the shores of the Visayas and beyond.
