Team Senator’s QA Compliance Officer; Ms. Anna Ureta, Support Group Manager; Ms. Susan Melendres, and President; Ms. Dianne Alilin attended the special membership assembly of ALMA, last January 23, 2025, dedicated to discussing and highlight the salient points of the newly signed Magna Carta for Seafarers law and its implementing rules and regulations.
The assembly discussed the Implementing Rules and Regulations (IRR) of the Magna Carta of Filipino Seafarers. The event successfully gathered key stakeholders from the maritime industry, government agencies, and seafarer organizations. The event aimed to clarify the new provisions and their impact on seafarers’ rights, employment conditions, and compliance requirements for manning agencies.
The conference underscored the importance of strict implementation and compliance with the Magna Carta’s IRR. Participants were encouraged to integrate the new policies into their operational frameworks and engage in continuous dialogue to address industry concerns.
