  • In line with the continuous efforts to preserve and protect the environment Senator Crewing Manila volunteered in the 38th International Coastal Clean-Up at the back of Solaire Resort Manila Bay on September 16 spearheaded by the DENR.

International Coastal Cleanup or ICC is a global initiative dedicated to resolving ocean pollution through beach and waterway cleanups held every third Sunday of September. With the theme “Clean Seas for Healthy Fisheries”. The difference of ICC to other clean ups, they require the volunteers to record the items in a standardized data card to gather valuable data.

Senator Crewing Manila proudly joined a group of 300 dedicated volunteers who attended the event. Our commitment to preserving natural resources and protecting marine ecosystems goes beyond our daily work. As a company, we prioritize environmental care alongside our professional responsibilities.

This marks the beginning of a series of coastal clean-up activities that SCM will actively participate in.

It brought torrential rains, violent winds, landslides, and storm surges to the country. Team Senator completed a phone barrage to the crewmembers’ families living in crucial areas. The company then launched a financial support campaign through donation, as well as cash advance for those who already signed a Philippine Overseas Employment Administration contract and Special Allotment for those who were onboard. There are at least 54 families who benefited from this initiative
