Our Crew and Family Welfare Program

  • Attractive wages

Team Senator does market benchmarking and offers salaries above average market wages with its European principals. There are also other bonuses to look forward to, such as the rejoining bonus, higher license bonus, performance bonus, and other wage adjustments with flexible contract duration.
  • Fair USD-Peso exchange rates

Team Senator uses the featured USD-PHP exchange rate announced by the central bank used by commercial banks at the time of crew allotment remittance. But as mentioned, the company negotiates with the bank for the highest exchange rate it can give to seafarers.
  • On-time allotments

Team Senator goes above and beyond to ensure that seafarers can receive their allotments at the end of every month at the highest exchange rate it could negotiate with the bank, way before the actual DMW deadline. In case of personal emergency, seafarers on board may request a special allotment for their family.
  • Cash advance

Former Team Senator seafarers who need financial aid are welcome to request assistance from the company. Team Senator has standardized the procedure and provides a significant amount of cash advance for ratings, which is generally well-accepted and appreciated by its rejoining crew and first-time applicants. Requests for higher amounts are the exemption and are only approved on probable cause explained in writing. In any case, the amount granted will be deducted free of interest from the seafarer’s first home allotment (H/A).
  • Health card

With Rayomar Insurance Business as Team Senator’s HMO provider, an Advanced Medical Access Philippines (AMAPHIL) health card is provided to employees that allows up to a maximum of two dependents. Apart from corporate wellness programs and consultations, services offered can be accessed through the AMAPHIL app and the ATAccess app (for online consultation).
  • Crew and Family Wellness

Team Senator provides health programs through its affiliate medical institutions during crew conferences and ad hoc visit consultations. This activity offers personal sessions on keeping the body healthy and actively staying away from debilitating diseases. This also focuses on a healthy lifestyle and information drives on the common illnesses of the seafarers and their families.
  • Free Inhouse Enhancement Training Programs

Team Senator has partnered with reputable maritime training institutions that provide enhancement training programs for the development and growth of Filipino seafarers.
  • Cadetship Program

The Deck, Engine, and Electro-Technical Officer (ETO) cadetship training program is conducted at reputable maritime training centers and premier institutions such as the Philippine Merchant Marine Academy (PMMA), Maritime Academy of Asia and the Pacific (MAAP), Nautilus Pacific.

The ETO cadetship training program starts with a five-month shore-based facility followed by an onboard immersion with Training Record Book (TRB) completing the cycle of training. During the duration of the program, employees are expected to develop their character, discipline and commitment.
