In celebration of the Day of the Seafarer, Senator Crewing (Manila) Inc. and various manning agencies, along with seafarers and their families, participated in this year’s special flag-raising ceremony organized by SeaFam International at Luneta Park on June 25. The event, in collaboration with the Department of Migrant Workers (DMW), Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA), Maritime Industry Authority (MARINA), TESDA, Armed Forces of the Philippines, Philippine Marine Corps, and the Philippine Coast Guard, honored our modern- day heroes—the seafarers—for their hard work, sacrifices, and invaluable contribution to the country’s economic success and to their families.
Team Senator has also shown their appreciation locally by organizing a health awareness seminar led by Dr. Fionnah Sandoval. The seminar focused on the prevalent health issues that seafarers often encounter, shedding light on their prevention and management. Additionally, the team prepared a snack bar for all attendees, aiming to provide both nourishment and a supportive environment for learning. Through these efforts, Team Senator aims to extend assistance by spreading knowledge about specific ailments and promoting their prevention and ongoing care.
