Team Senator had a productive and meaningful weekend as they joined the Filipino Association for Mariners’ Employment, Inc. (FAME) Milestone Run on July 6, at CCP Complex, and Takbo Para Sa West Philippine Sea on July 7, at MOA Complex.
Team Senator blazed trails at FAME Fun Run 2024 – embracing fitness, camaraderie, and community spirit with every stride. From the starting line to the finish, every step was filled with laughter, encouragement, and the thrill of togetherness. Whether you were sprinting for a personal best or strolling with friends and colleagues, the real victory was in the smiles shared and the memories made.
On July 7, over 7,000 Filipinos from all walks of life converged in Pasay City for the “Takbo Para sa West Philippine Sea,” an event dedicated to raising awareness about the importance of the West Philippine Sea. Among the enthusiastic participants were nine proud members of Team Senator.
Organized by RUNRIO Inc. in collaboration with the Philippine Coast Guard (PCG), the National Task Force-West Philippine Sea, the Philippine Information Agency (PIA), and the Presidential Communications Office (PCO), this event successfully brought together individuals and organizations united by a common cause.
Team Senator participated in the fun run with a dual purpose. Firstly, our team wholeheartedly supports the advocacy to defend and uphold the sovereignty of the West Philippine Sea. Secondly, we believe in the importance of promoting health and wellness among our staff. By participating in events like these, we aim to motivate our team to engage in physical activities, ensuring that even amidst a busy work schedule, health remains a top priority.
