We are searching for a reliable and trustworthy DMW (POEA) Liaison Officer to join our organization who must be flexible and willing to travel from the office to the work assignment, as necessary. 

Responsibilities

  • Check, verify and encode E-submit, In-House contracts and seafarer’s information sheet or E-Registration.
  • Submits seamen’s employment contracts to online POEA application and downloads them after processing.
  • Handles payments of Watch listed, OWWA/POEA Onboard processing of employment contracts and issuance/renewal of other POEA related documents
  • Monitors the processing status of employment contracts and provides feedback to the Crew Operator
  • Prepares and prints bank processed EOC’s for filing and accounting records.
  • Ensures that onboard crew has updated POEA payment/membership as provided and advised by crewing department
  • Verifies validity and secures renewal of seamen’s Overseas Employment Certificate (OEC)
  • Assists the General Manager in compiling documents and prepares necessary documents for the enrollment of new vessels, wages scale amendments, renaming of vessels, additional position and submits them to the POEA.
  • Assists management in compiling all POEA documents for the renewal of SCM’s DOLE License and submits same to the POEA.
  • Prepare documents for renewal of Principal accreditation certificate.
  • Updates management immediately on all information disseminated by the POEA such as issuance of circulars, change of policies, introduction of new requirements or other issues affecting the operations of the company.
  • Reports and updates new, resigned, and retired employees.
  • Represents the company at the POEA in all matters entrusted by management
  • Maintains and updates all POEA-related documents and records
  • Performs other duties as assigned by the management relating to POEA processing

Qualifications

The ideal candidate is someone who has already at least one year experience as a “DMW (POEA) Liaison Officer” from a reputable manning agency. Preferably, the candidate must have a bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or Psychology.
