Capt. Gilbert Garcia paid a visit to the campuses of Mariners’ Polytechnic Colleges in Naga and Canaman, Camarines Sur. It was a great opportunity to explore the facilities of both schools dedicated to the training of Tourism and Hospitality Management students, as well as the advanced maritime laboratories and training center.
As the day progressed, Capt. Garcia engaged in a luncheon meeting with the administrative team, represented by Executive Vice President Gabriel L. Jimenez and members of the management committee. During this meeting, he shared valuable insights into the increasing demand for qualified crew members for Cruise, Cargo, and Bulk Carrier ships.
Recognizing the need to adapt to industry demands, Capt. Garcia emphasized the need to adjust the training of aspiring seafarers to align seamlessly with the qualifications and skills required for high-paying job positions offered by Senator Crewing Manila.
