For the month of October, our calendars are marked with two noteworthy occasions that promise to leave lasting impact and learnings: the Safety 4 Sea Manila Forum and the Buhay sa Cruise Meet and Greet.
The Safety4Sea Manila Forum, spearheaded by the founder and Group Chief Executive Officer, Apostolos Belokas, returned with an in-person conference at Sofitel Philippine Plaza Manila on October 24, 2023. The event brought experts from various backgrounds, businesses, and organizations from all over the world back to the Philippines in an effort to maintain the local maritime community current and competitive on a worldwide scale. The core focus of Safety4Sea is for maritime professionals to learn, network, and collaborate, enhancing safety and sustainability.
A diverse group of panelists were invited to share their ongoing programs, address challenges, and field questions related to crew welfare, safety culture, and ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) in shipping. The Team Senator gained valuable insights on how to manage these challenges and adapt best practices to support our seafarers.
On the 25th of October, the Cruise team together with our Cruise Senior Crew Operator Mr. Francis Rañola, had the privilege of being invited as one of the guest speaker together with other leading agencies at the Buhay sa Cruise Meet and Greet event held in MIHCA, Manila. The event proved to be highly fruitful as they shared their valuable cruise life experiences, helping to transform the audience’s perspective and inspiring them to pursue their life-long goals and aspirations.
